- once-ler is a total dick and cuts down truffulas and ruins the environment
- lorax is just a happy lil dude but he’s like “whoawhoa hold up pal wat r u doign”
- eventually once-ler stops and everyone is happy again

the new film:

- lorax has become a jerk (“that’s a woman???” wow hahahaha funny fucking joke) and he threatens to KILL once-ler at one point???
- once-ler now has parents for some reason and he’s just like. a side character. like “oh what he’s doing is bad” but it’s not the main FOCUS LIKE IT WAS IN THE BOOK
- THERE’S A FUCKING LOVE STORY WITH TWO CHARACTERS THAT WERE NEVER IN THE BOOK EVER AND NOBODY FUCKING CARES ABOUT THEM
- the main ‘issue’ of the movie is that some midget dude named o’hare makes a big corporation that ruins everything. wow i remember that, from the book haha, wait no, no i fucking don’t
- it’s completely hypocritical because the film’s message is about protecting the environment yet they use the main character to sell mini-vans and shit like a big marketing ploy
